Payot is a Swiss bookstore chain, founded in 1903, situated in the heart of the city. The bookstore frequently hosts events such as book signings and children’s storytime in both English and French. It also partners with the Société de Lecture to organize lectures and discussions with contemporary authors.
Authors Bruno Giussani and Richard Werly discuss their recent books, including Moins d’Amérique dans nos vies, Manuel de résistance à l’emprise technologique and Cette Amérique qui nous déteste. The conversation, moderated by Stéphane Bussard (Le Temps), explores themes of American influence, technological power and political polarization, and examines strategies of civic and cultural resistance. A signing session will follow, allowing attendees to have copies inscribed.
