Patinoire des Vergers is a municipal ice rink in Meyrin (canton of Geneva). The sports venue offers public skating, hockey and figure-skating sessions, and hosts local club trainings and community events. Its covered and outdoor surfaces create a friendly neighbourhood atmosphere popular with families, clubs and recreational skaters.
Loops on Ice blends choreographed skating, live chamber music and electronic loops into a kinetic, hypnotic performance. The Orchestre de Chambre de Genève weaves repetitive, circular motifs while dancer and skater Stephen Thompson shapes tempo through continuous choreography on the ice. Electronic artist YMNK adds modular synths and homemade machines, injecting a danceable, raw energy. Co-produced with Festival de la Bâtie, the piece explores momentum, circulation and ecstatic repetition.
Sita Pottacheruva leads a guided walking tour that explores the dialogue between contemporary visual artworks scattered across Meyrin and texts by authors from French-speaking Switzerland. The visit examines how literature reframes public artworks, tracing themes from autobiographical narrative to playful crime fiction and climate fiction. Participants will gain tools to read urban spaces through literary lenses and to discuss creative intersections between image and text.
