Musée militaire genevois is a specialist museum preserving Geneva’s military history from 1813 to the present. It displays uniforms, equipment, weapons, posters, photographs and documents placed in historical context, and produces research publications. The institution interprets two centuries of local and national military developments and contributes to regional historical scholarship.
Two centuries of Geneva history told through uniforms, photographs, posters, equipment, and personal objects. Rather than simply lining up military artefacts, the museum places them back into the events and stories that shaped the canton from the Restoration to the present day.
