Institut Jaques-Dalcroze is Geneva’s international center for Dalcroze Eurhythmics, a music pedagogy based on movement. The institute functions as a professional school offering teacher training, adult and youth courses, summer programmes, research and public concerts. It also hosts international courses, congresses and resources for the Dalcroze community.
Multidisciplinary artist Carolyn Carlson, a leading figure in contemporary dance, visits the music and movement department for a week of practical workshops and encounters. Participants will investigate movement research, improvisation, and the interplay between sound and gesture through guided sessions and reflective study. The programme includes an evening conversation focused on her oeuvre and a public presentation stemming from the workshop. The series emphasises creative enquiry, somatic awareness and collaborative practice.

Set off with Plume, the little bear from Hans de Beer’s beloved stories, in a musical tale for children. A narrator and a small ensemble bring Guy Bovet’s gentle score to life, weaving warm words, soaring violin lines and playful clarinet and bassoon colours. Young listeners follow a comforting journey about solidarity and tolerance, and hear how sound shapes adventure and feeling.
