Moderated by Agnieszka Fal‑Dutra Santos (Geneva Graduate Institute), the conversation examines uneven distribution of care labour, structural barriers and forms of prejudice and discrimination often compounded by race, sexuality, age or class. This keynote examines histories of fear and anxiety and their role in the militarization of long-term conflicts, focusing on wound nationalism, Christian evangelical politics, and the sexualization and racialization of psychic life. Bourke explores performative and affective dimensions of institutional and interpersonal attachments and concludes with reflections on the politics of radical justice.

This two-day conference, convened by Carolyn Biltoft and Amalia Ribi Forclaz and supported by the Pierre du Bois Foundation and the GLO project, examines the psychological dimensions of international organisations and global governance. Drawing on concepts such as projection, transference and passionate attachments, it investigates how institutions that manage trade, war, health or aid become sites of displaced desire, grievance or fantasy. DE.CO.DE is a research-led workshop series for 18–25-year-olds exploring disinformation, media, artificial intelligence and democratic participation. Participants work with researchers and journalists to analyse how information circulates and is distorted, co-create multimedia content, and develop analytical and creative skills. The programme examines digital influences on civic life, offers practical tools for critical media literacy, and supports contributors in producing resources for peers while recognising the ethical challenges of online information.

Schiffman, lawyer and consultant specialising in financial and corporate sector reform, draws on more than three decades of work with international financial institutions and national authorities.
