The TCS Geneva is hosting an exclusive guided tour of the Conservatoire de Musique de Genève, followed by a social aperitif at the Conservatoire Café. Established in the 19th century by patron François Bartholoni, the Conservatoire is one of Europe’s oldest musical institutions and has been home to the prestigious Geneva Competition since 1939. Recently renovated, the Conservatoire elegantly blends historical charm with modern facilities. Participants will be guided by the institution’s director through the heritage library, boasting over 130,000 scores and books. The Conservatoire de Musique de Genève will host a chamber music series featuring the OSR’s interpretation of works by Shostakovich and Dohnányi for the 2025-26 season. Talented musicians Roman Filipov, Eleonora Ryndina, Marco Nirta, Yao Jin, and François-Xavier Poizat will perform. The program features Shostakovich’s String Quartet No. 8 in C minor, op. 110, a personal reflection of the Soviet composer utilizing his own musical signature DSCH, and Dohnányi’s Piano Quintet No. 1 in C minor, op. 1, a tribute to Brahms’ style.
As part of the 2025-26 Chamber Music series, the OSR will perform Mozart’s renowned ‘Gran Partita’ at the Geneva Conservatory of Music. Led by accomplished musicians such as oboist Nora Cismondi and clarinetist Michel Westphal, this serenade in B-flat major, with its sublime adagio and expressive movements, promises an exceptional evening showcasing musical maturity and virtuosity.
Two chamber music masterpieces will be performed in an exceptional evening under the artistic direction of Sergey Ostrovsky and Noémie Bialobroda. The program features Dmitri Shostakovich’s Piano Quintet in G Minor and Franz Schubert’s String Quintet in C Major, showcasing talented musicians including Sergey Ostrovsky, Noémie Bialobroda, and Eva Kobor.
