Bongo Joe is a record store with a vaste choice of vinyls (12″ and 7″ records), tapes and a special selection of CDs and books. It is also a bar with a terrasse where everyone can meet and share a drink. The store is managed by an association of a dozen active members. Every once in a while during the month, free events are programmed.
Juliette Pym (bass) and Bonella Holloway (keys) form Générique Mardi, a duo channeling the raw energy of no wave through hushed, bittersweet melodies and spoken-word passages. Their intimate set balances shadowy atmospheres and brittle pop textures, unfolding small, domestic crises into charged miniatures. Sparse arrangements leave space for tension and wit, where melodic hooks hover between nostalgia and unease. The performance favors subtle dynamics and close attention to timbre, inviting attentive listening.
An invited artist curates a 90-minute listening set drawn from the MEG’s Marco Botta sound collection. Nearly 5,000 LPs—mostly from the 1960s and 1970s—are mined for hidden grooves, rare labels and global sound textures. The performance reanimates archival recordings into a live sonic narrative, folding analog warmth, surprising juxtapositions and tactile vinyl crackle into an intimate, exploratory experience. It foregrounds listening as an active, communal act and offers new perspectives on musical memory.
