Located in the heart of the city, the Bâtiment des Forces Motrices (BFM) is a former hydroelectric power station on the Rhône that has been transformed into a versatile venue. It hosts a wide range of cultural events, including theatrical performances, dance shows, and concerts. Its entirely wooden interior enhances acoustic qualities, allowing it to accommodate up to 1,000 spectators.
Directed as a bold reimagining of Bertolt Brecht and Kurt Weill’s classic, this production plunges into the gritty, satirical world of urban crime and commerce. A sharply choreographed ensemble and live band navigate moments of cabaret, street theatre and haunting lyricism. Sparse sets, inventive lighting and taut pacing foreground moral ambiguity and social critique, while performances balance wit and menace to create an electric, theatrical atmosphere.
Ludovic Tézier’s recital showcases the French baritone’s resonant, luminous timbre and refined legato, guided by expressive vocal intensity. Joined by pianist Julius Drake, Tézier explores a programme rooted in the grand tradition of heroic French baritone singing, blending dramatic presence with lyrical nuance. The recital foregrounds interpretive depth and vocal colour, offering an intimate portrait of repertoire that balances theatrical force and refined phrasing.
Comedian and performer Gérémy Crédeville presents a one-man show that interrogates the act of choosing through sharp sketches, stand-up and musical interludes. With a playful, self-deprecating voice he shifts between theatrical bits and songs, examining freedom, limits and identity with warmth and wit. The piece balances intimate anecdote and staged invention to create an engaging, reflective evening of humour and music.
