Natacha Mercier & Jean-Louis Perrot — De Profundis

This exhibition brings together the works of Jean-Louis Perrot and Natacha Mercier in a dialogue shaped by thresholds, suspension, and the vital force of renewal. Perrot explores the edge of movement, the instant of balance, and the regenerative energy at work in form. In his series De profundis, Mercier examines the appearance and withdrawal of the image, where night becomes a habitat that absorbs and redistributes light, and vision shifts into a space of opacity. Presentation text by Jonas Alvear, 2026.

Opening: (AVV) Thursday 5 November, 17:00, with artists.

Voltaire lived here — and that alone makes Les Délices worth knowing about. The historic residence houses manuscripts, artworks, and documents related to the philosopher and the Enlightenment. Access is more limited than at a conventional museum, so it works best as a special-visit recommendation.

Permanent Exhibition

Geneva, before it became the Geneva we know. Set in the city’s oldest surviving private residence, Maison Tavel tells the story of local life from the Middle Ages to the 19th century. Don’t miss the impressive Magnin Relief, a huge model of Geneva before its fortifications disappeared.

Permanent exhibition

Two thousand years, one site. Opened in September 2026, Geneva’s newest archaeological space brings together a Roman dwelling, a medieval cemetery and a church, and 16th-century fortifications. Archaeology meets contemporary architecture — with temporary art projects adding another layer to the story.
