Bernard Héritier’s scenography and Jessy Ducatillon’s lighting shape moments of visual surprise, most poignantly a Van Gogh encounter that restores belief in the world. Created and performed by Sandra Widmer Joly, this theatrical piece confronts finitude with a blend of poetry, tenderness and dark humour. Drawing on the author’s fifteen years as a funeral celebrant, the work weaves personal testimony, quiet rituals and moments of levity. Dramaturg Antoine Jaccoud provided textual guidance following a writing workshop, and members of the Célébrys network bring lived professional experience to the stage. The overall tone is intimate, reflective and surprisingly warm.

Refined ensemble playing, precise articulation and warm sonorities invite close listening and emotional contrast.
