Directed by Françoise Courvoisier, this production of Anton Chekhov’s Oncle Vania — translated by Arthur Adamov — assembles a committed ensemble (Vincent Bonillo, Pierre Dubey, Bérangère Mastrangelo, Patricia Mollet-Mercier, Clarisse Morizot, Pierre Omer, Juliana Samarine, Edmond Vuilloud) to explore love, the passage of time and illusions lost. The staging, created with scenographer Gilbert Maire and painter André Kasper, uses Rinaldo Del Boca’s lighting, Pierre Omer’s music and Nicolas Le Roy’s sound to evoke both the comedy and the terrifying humanity of Chekhov.

After their grandmother’s death, three sisters, separated by life and years, meet in the attic of the family home. The house—large and dusty, with creaking floorboards and faded wallpaper—becomes a stage for recollection. The story follows Luce, Emmanuelle and Emée, with Denise present in the background; objects, yellowed photographs and the smell of old books trigger memories. Performed by Cécile Adèle Basset, Alice Berlamont and Victoria Duquesne, the piece explores memory, loss and the intimate archaeology of domestic life.

Across performance, film projection, collective listening and polyphonic conversations, the programme explores how encounters reshape artistic practice and affect those involved. Three works are presented: La Vraie Version (radio piece), I Think You Should Be Here (short film) and Jogo de Dentro (performance).

22 September – 4 October

Directed by Nathalie Cuenet and written by Valérie Poirier, Dire adieu is performed by Compagnie Volodia. The piece stages fragmented conversations between a daughter and her mother, probing a quest for recognition and the fragile possibility of reconciliation. Its form recalls the codes of Greek tragedy, using heightened language and concentrated staging to explore memory, silence and unresolved grief. The ensemble creates a tense, intimate atmosphere that makes emotional rupture palpable.

Dafné Kritharas presents a luminous concert journey built around her album Prayer & Sin. The singer unveils original songs in Greek and French, blending Middle Eastern modal colours, jazz phrasing and classical textures touched by an uncanny electronic pulse. Her voice moves between joyous dances and sublime laments, shaping vast, consoling landscapes of feeling. On stage she crafts an intimate yet expansive musical world, equal parts ancient tradition and free, personal invention. Presented in collaboration with the JazzContreBand festival.

2 – 3 October

Andreas Fulgosi assembles musicians who share an obsession with sonic matter and deep vibration for a carte blanche project exploring persistently stirred low frequencies. Through baritone guitars, bass clarinet and propulsive drumming, the group sculpts a tactile dialogue where raw energy searches for balance and temporal resonance. The programme probes textural limits, favouring tactile listening and long-sustained vibrations that blur the line between composition and collective exploration.
