Photographer Kristina Yenza presents Younist’, her photo book, and screens her short film Youth of Kyiv (2025, 2’41’’). In a discussion about her ongoing projects, Yenza examines visual approaches, youth perspectives and the everyday realities shaping a new Ukrainian generation. Philippe Mathez, conservator of visual anthropology collections, contributes contextual insights and reflections on archival and documentary practices.
This Pilates session focuses on core stabilization, breath control and mindful movement to improve posture, flexibility and functional strength. The class introduces progressive exercises suitable for varied fitness levels, emphasising alignment, controlled breathing and movement quality. Participants will learn practical cues, modifications and sequences to integrate Pilates principles into daily practice and injury prevention. The session is preceded by a short presentation of an artwork.

This workshop explores the traditional process of assembling a herbarium specimen, inspired by Jean-Jacques Rousseau’s collections. Participants learn scientific techniques for pressing and mounting dried plants on old paper, practice botanical labelling and nomenclature, and select specimens to create a personal herbarium sheet. The session examines preservation methods, identification principles and the historical context of Rousseau’s approach, combining practical skills with scientific insight to produce a lasting botanical object.

This guided tour examines the St Bartholomew’s Day Massacre, exploring its causes — religious tensions, political manipulation and collective fears — and the immediate dynamics that transformed an attempted assassination into widespread violence. It investigates how the massacre affected relations between Catholics and Protestants, its spread beyond Paris, and its symbolic resonance within the Reformation. The narrative situates the events in broader social and political contexts, revealing the mechanisms that turned political rivalry into mass sectarian bloodshed.
This interactive memory challenge invites participants to test their memory while exploring practical ways to preserve biodiversity based on Geneva’s municipal strategy. Players match “before-and-after” images that illustrate individual and institutional actions, and each correct pair reveals concise information explaining the measure. The activity examines themes such as habitat restoration, species-friendly practices, urban greening and policy responses, helping participants understand the impact and rationale behind everyday and organisational conservation choices.
Anna Desraux (actress–musician), Jeanne Mermet (engineer–musician) and Gabriel Cotte (limnologist and science communicator) combine performance, technical practice and aquatic science to guide participants.
Drawing on scientific data, the workshop investigates the lake’s breathing rhythms through guided breathing exercises, verb-based prompts and collaborative songwriting. Participants translate limnological patterns into poetic verbs and melodies, then develop lyrics and simple musical settings that reveal the lake’s vitality and temporal dynamics.
Stéphane Ducret, artist, leads hands-on workshops inspired by various renowned contemporary artists (painters), focusing on figurative or abstract painting, depending on the theme of the day’s workshop. The foundation is self-expression: opening oneself up to experimentation, even without (thinking one knows how to) draw. Participants also explore composition, the layering of colors, and the application of paint—whether acrylic or oil—on primed canvas.
