Set off on a colourful adventure without leaving the chair. Culture Mosaïque invites children and their accompanying adults to discover cultural diversity through a vibrant illustrated story, then create a mosaic. Each child will compose a unique artwork from varied shapes and colours, learning how different pieces come together to form a whole. The session blends storytelling and hands‑on crafting to spark imagination and sensory exploration.

The Biopark is temporarily hosting Janus, a unique two-headed Greek tortoise, during the renovation of the Museum. Each head of this male tortoise has its own independent brain, which sometimes makes its movements challenging. In captivity, Janus receives attentive care, resulting in an impressive lifespan of 26 years.

Laugh along as Bricolo, a zany inventor, brings his wild machines to life on screen. Short films follow his startling ideas — a grafting trick to chase away mice, non-slip banana skins, and self-dancing shoes — with playful gadgets, clanking gears and slapstick movements. A live pianist adds tinkling music and rhythm to the moving pictures. Children will watch, wonder, and imagine new contraptions while enjoying sounds, colors and comic motion.

With the pianist Nicolas Hafner – Kids ages 6 and up.

26 April – 14 June

Move, listen, and read together in a playful family workshop that mixes picture-book readings with dance. Children and grown-ups explore stories through sound, color and movement. Short readings spark imagination, then simple steps and playful gestures let kids try out the rhythms and shapes of the tale. Sessions are led by a dancer-choreographer and a team of reading animators who guide creative games, gentle warm-ups and shared moments of discovery.

17 June & 16 December

Family visit to discover a facet of the rich collections of the Musée d’ethnographie de Genève, exploring both the library and the temporary exhibition. Imagine: if you were a king or queen, what would you change? After observing an element of the exhibition, we will listen to stories of African rulers who sought to transform their world, along with music from the MEG’s collection.

Ages 5 and up. In French.
