Maison Culturelle Surville is a community cultural house located in a villa in Surville, Petit-Lancy. It functions as a socio-cultural centre hosting workshops, exhibitions, artist residencies, performances and community activities. The venue aims to promote inclusion, intergenerational programming and local participation, serving as a neighborhood hub for cultural creation and social cohesion.
Cécile Koepfli creates a site-specific window installation of colorful, poetic drawings. Mischievous characters, everyday objects, and fragments of text assemble into a playful, sensitive imaginary world. The works, rendered directly on window panes, unfold as tableaux and narrative vignettes that invite viewers to imagine the activities and encounters that will animate the space.
A seek-and-find game encourages close looking and slow discovery across the illustrated surfaces.
Artist Matthieu Grillet leads the project, combining artistic practice with hands-on botanical observation to document urban plant life in Surville.
Participants collect leaves, flowers and herbs to assemble a collective herbarium that records the neighborhood’s flora and reflects nature’s presence amid urban change. The session explores plant identification, preservation techniques, and how collective archives contribute to ecological awareness and community memory.
