P. slips into the city’s blind spots, picking locks and slipping through barriers to reveal alternative ways of inhabiting public space. Gli Angeli Genève will perform Gluck’s “Orfeo ed Euridice” in concert format at the Haydn-Mozart Festival. Under the baton of Stephan MacLeod and featuring Sophie Junker, Marie Perbost, and Iestyn Davies, this opera signals a departure from traditional opera seria with its mythological narrative and emphasis on the chorus and ballet. The concert-style performances, devoid of sets and costumes, heighten the dramatic intensity, promising unforgettable evenings.
