The Four Seasons Reimagined — Richter & Vivaldi

Performed by Ensemble Sinfonietta Bern in an intimate quartet formation, this programme reimagines The Four Seasons as a dialogue between Antonio Vivaldi’s vivid Baroque writing and Max Richter’s ambient-minimalist recompositions. Movements alternate and interweave, contrasting handwritten gestures with cinematic textures. The result is a seasonal journey of shimmering strings, suspended pulses, and sudden bursts of motion, offering both rustic charm and modern radiance. Bonus Richter pieces extend the soundworld into filmic and solo piano resonances, creating a deeply immersive listening experience.

The project functions as a constellation of collaborators: Sam Pert (drums), Phil Self (guitars), Henry Greenham (synths), Philippa Blum (cello), Jake Sheridan (bass), Anouska Helm (voice, guitar) contribute to a fluid, evolving sound that favors slow-building, immersive grooves.

Conceived and directed by Ágnes Havas, this itinerant festival combines cycle-tourism with a rich musical programme. Concerts range from classical and baroque to opera and jazz, presented across lakeside stages that dialogue with the landscape. The project foregrounds sustainable cyclo-tourism and cross-border artistic cooperation, pairing performances with local gastronomy. Lighting and acoustic choices favour intimacy and clarity, while artists of international calibre create moments of contemplative lyricism, conviviality and sensory immersion around the rhythms of the lake.
