Festival International du Film sur les Glaciers

Věra Chytilová’s two-screening offers a glimpse into a pioneering voice of the Czechoslovak New Wave. Her films juxtapose sharp social observation with inventive, often playful formal experiments, disrupting narrative expectations. Through striking images and rhythms, they probe gender, power and the absurdities of everyday life, balancing dark humour with moral urgency. The program highlights Chytilová’s singular visual energy and critical gaze, inviting reflection on cinema’s capacity to question society and form.

Screening will be followed by a discussion with director Stéphanie Barbey.

Wright Colloquium 2026 brings together interdisciplinary inquiry to rethink what we call intelligence. The program examines intelligence across scales — from artificial systems and ant colonies to neurons and engrams — and considers cognitive, neurological and philosophical perspectives. Participants will explore how different forms of intelligence shape societies, knowledge and our worldviews, with discussions, panels and workshops aimed at advancing conceptual and practical understanding.

TEDxGeneva’s 2026 edition examines the theme “Undo” — a critical investigation of what to unmake in order to choose differently. The programme explores dismantling habits, inherited systems and rules, assumptions, cultural speed and informational noise. Through short talks and reflective sessions, speakers and facilitators will investigate practical and conceptual strategies for simplifying, reframing and recalibrating collective practices. Participants are invited to consider pathways for intentional change and to critically assess which structures should be kept, adapted or undone.

Anne Tuffigo, a medium, writer and lecturer, presents an investigation into the signs left by the deceased. Having discovered her mediumistic gift in childhood and turning professional in 2004 after the loss of her mother—leaving a career as a lecturer in modern letters—she has since developed a practice in Paris and gives numerous conferences. This talk examines how messages are perceived and conveyed, includes a questions-and-answers session and selected medium contacts.

Cécile Desaunay, director of studies at Futuribles and author of La Société des besoins and La Société de déconsommation, presents her research on societal transformations, lifestyle changes and consumption patterns. This lecture examines shifting needs, pathways from excess to sufficiency, and cultural and economic drivers of deconsumption. Desaunay discusses policy and behavioural perspectives to rethink consumption and proposes conceptual tools for collective transitions toward living better with less.
