Organised by the association Mission Planète Terre, the Festival International du Film sur les Glaciers uses cinema to raise awareness about the melting of glaciers and the urgency of climate action. Through film screenings, discussions with directors, exhibitions, and school activities, the festival invites audiences to explore the environmental, social, and scientific dimensions of glacier retreat and its impact on our planet, highlighting the need for sustainable change.
Featuring invited speakers Wajdi Mouawad, Dominique Eddé, Nathalie Piégay and Agnès Giard, the series gathers voices from literature, theory and cultural research to reflect on love’s complexities.
Presentations examine the courage of not loving, love as a life‑force, literary and theoretical discourses, and contemporary forms of attachment including artificial loves in Japan, probing how public dialogue and interdisciplinary inquiry sustain critical humanist perspectives.

Prof. Walter Romero, PhD (University of Buenos Aires), Chevalier of the Order of Academic Palms, is a tenured professor and director of the Dr. Gerardo H. Pagés Institute, with long-standing research on Borges and world literatures.
This lecture examines Borges’s rereading of Voltaire’s Candide and Flaubert’s Bouvard et Pécuchet, investigating how he appropriates Voltairean irony and Flaubertian encyclopedic satire to shape recurring themes — infinity, skepticism, and the limits or defeat of knowledge — and to trace their lasting imprint on his aesthetic and ethical universe.

These Pilates sessions draw inspiration from artworks to promote wellbeing through movement, breath and mindful presence. The practice explores how visual art can shape bodily awareness, combining gentle physical exercises with breathwork to improve posture, reduce tension and enhance concentration. Participants examine posture alignment, controlled movement and embodied attention, gaining practical strategies to integrate mindful movement into daily routines and foster a calmer, more attentive relationship with their body and surroundings.

Facilitated by Big Bloom coaches, participants will experiment with collective intelligence methods to tackle managerial challenges in workplace mental health and co-develop practical responses.
The morning workshop examines the manager’s role as first responder to team distress, exploring strategies to support staff without personal exhaustion. Through empathy, ideation, prototyping and pitching, multidisciplinary participants collaborate to generate concrete, deployable tools and policies that strengthen managerial capacity and collective wellbeing.

Ciel Sourdeau’s eight-minute, seventeen-second video unfolds as a subversive tutorial: part gore, part experimental film, it repurposes pedagogical forms into an improvised, transgressive bricolage. Mixed by Adrien Kessler, the piece layers tactile sound and rough-edged visuals to probe bodies, identity and the limits of instruction. Its stripped, confrontational aesthetic alternates shock and dark humour, inviting a re-examination of learning rituals and the politics of representation through intimate, unsettling imagery.

An intimate retrospective devoted to director Patricia Plattner, presenting a selection of her films alongside a reading-performance and a small exhibition. Plattner’s cinema favors close human encounters and observational compositions, blending subtle humour with poignant emotional truth. The programme highlights her attentive direction and narrative economy, tracing recurring themes of identity, everyday intimacy and the passage of time. Screenings offer a chance to rediscover the quiet intensity and warm, lyrical realism of her work. An event presented by the association Le Bazar de la Sirène in collaboration with Luna Films and the City of Carouge.
