“Nicolas de Flue” by Arthur Honegger

The Psallette de Genève, along with the Neuchâtel Vocal Ensemble and the Maîtrise and Mixed Choir of Sainte-Thérèse, will team up with Geneva Brass & Friends under the direction of Steve Dunn to present “Nicolas de Flue” by Arthur Honegger. The performance will feature Robert Bouvier as narrator. Held at Victoria Hall, this charity concert is in support of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). It offers free entry with donations encouraged, as all proceeds will be donated to the organization. Reservations are mandatory, with a limit of five tickets per person. This event also marks the 75th anniversary of the Psallette de Genève.

This international Geneva-based choir, a partner of HUG since 2015, unites voices from five continents and has performed at iconic venues like the Montreux Jazz Festival, collaborating with artists such as CeCe Winans, Donald Lawrence, and Jonathan Nelson. An unforgettable musical journey!

Thierry Romanens and his musicians bring to life the extraordinary story of Émile Zatopek, an athlete with a unique journey, through a modern musical narrative. Zatopek, once an uranium miner and garbage collector who supported the Prague Spring revolution in 1968, became the fastest man on earth, winning three gold medals at the 1952 Helsinki Olympics. This artistic performance captures his passage through significant historical events, offering both enlightening tales of his life and times.

Back from the ashes like a mischievous phoenix, this stage adaptation of Hergé’s timeless comic hurls Bianca Castafiore’s shrill “Heavens, my jewels!” onto the boards and detonates a riotous, closed-door whodunnit inside the tranquil walls of Moulinsart: red herrings fly, misunderstandings snowball and Tintin’s entire gallery of eccentrics careen through a dazzling, hyper-faithful recreation of the album, where actors vanish into near-unrecognisable guises and the set itself crackles with playful theatrical sleight-of-hand—proof that some productions really do possess a magic, living soul of their own.
