Come and Garden with us

Discover how to grow bulb plants like daffodils, tulips, snowdrops, and crocuses and learn about their winter survival techniques. Engage in a hands-on planting session at the Green Workshops of the Geneva Botanical Garden. Led by educators and scientists, with assistance from Uni3 volunteers, these workshops offer children fun and educational activities focused on plants, including thematic investigations and botanical explorations.

The ASL is marking its 45th anniversary with the immersive exhibition “Léman, l’éveil d’un peuple” (Léman, the Awakening of a People). This exhibition chronicles the fierce battle to rescue Lake Geneva from suffocation between the 1960s and 2000, driven by the collective efforts of associations, scientists, fishermen, journalists, and institutions. The Biopark is temporarily hosting Janus, a unique two-headed Greek tortoise, during the renovation of the Museum. Each head of this male tortoise has its own independent brain, which sometimes makes its movements challenging. In captivity, Janus receives attentive care, resulting in an impressive lifespan of 26 years.

3 – 5 October

The Théâtre L’Articule presents a delightful object theater performance for children, focusing on the bond between grandparents and grandchildren from the elders’ perspective. “Les Petites Variations 3” brings cherished memories to life: grandpa’s hot chocolate, grandma’s dress-up chest, and treasured moments shared together. Puppeteers Michel and Michèle creatively weave through time, conjuring vivid images and memories.
