The Sunday Concerts at Victoria Hall introduce an inclusive project that brings together the Geneva Chamber Orchestra and the Ensemble Contrechamps, conducted by Aurélien Chappuis. In their debut collaboration, they offer a joyful and original program with compositions by Simon Aeschimann, texts by Aurélien Chappuis, alongside works from Schubert and Mozart. This project is designed to provide a shared, inclusive, and emotional musical experience for all.
The play “Judith,” elevated by masterful language, delves into the depths of desire through an intriguing and intimate setting. Directed by Gabriel Alvarez and featuring Clara Brancorsini, Justine Ruchat, and Soufiane Guerraoui, the performance presents a gripping duel between Judith, a young widow, and Holopherne, an enemy general. This battle, where territorial stakes interweave with personal desires, examines the boundaries between ideology and bodily impulses, in a confrontation where words both soothe and sting.

The Antigel opening night brings a charged, club-like atmosphere where shadowed movement and layered sound meet. Composed and sung by Emmanuelle Bonnet, this new quartet programme presents material from the album Prérie(s), released on her independent label Mousse Records after a 2024 debut on Unit Records. Joined by Yvonne Rogers (piano), Tabea Kind (double bass) and Lucas Zibulski (drums), the four musicians pursue timbral and textural discoveries, shaping a collective sound marked by playful nonchalance and subtle humour. The performance unfolds intimate, shifting atmospheres that deconstruct and reweave harmonies into delicate, expressive narratives.

With the support of a therapist who was involved throughout his incarceration, the characters delve into a world of deception, identity quests, and shared guilt.
