ART

There would be a white painting, as blank as a clean slate, and three friends: Marc, Serge, and Yvan. One hates the artwork, another hesitates, and the third is preoccupied with his upcoming marriage. Around this painting, Yasmina Reza explores art, perspective, friendship, and even the meaning of life with a blend of humor and cruelty. Through sharp dialogue and biting wit, her play—translated into thirty-five languages and awarded two Molières and a Tony Award—delves into human contradictions. On stage, François Morel, Olivier Broche, and Olivier Saladin brilliantly bring this reflection on beauty and friendship to life.

Their performances highlight Gregorian chant as the foundation of polyphony, emphasizing a flexible melody, the modal system, and the influence of language. The concert will be preceded by a discussion with Peter de Laurentis.
