The Deep Time Walk is a powerful, immersive experience that takes us through the vast story of our planet’s 4.6-billion-year history—step by step. Over the course of a 4.6 km walk, each metre represents one million years, allowing us to journey from Earth’s fiery origins through the emergence of life, mass extinctions, and evolutionary breakthroughs—right up to the present moment. It is a walk that shifts our perspective, deepens our connection to the planet, and invites reflection on our place in this unfolding story.

The market celebrates local food traditions and fosters a welcoming space where everyone can meet, taste and support the community.

Explore a lively citywide festival built for families and curious kids. Children and adults share stories, play and create through object theatre, illustrated concerts, parent–child yoga sessions, outdoor art walks, intergenerational game nights, photo displays, film screenings, museum and bookstore activities, library sessions and hands-on workshops. Bright visuals, movement and sound invite imagination and collaboration, with projects to make, watch and discuss.

25 – 26 April

An inauguration event combining hands-on workshops, a convivial apéro and a presentation of the festival programme. Participants can take part in practical sessions such as gardening and cooking, explore simple techniques and exchange tips with facilitators and other attendees. The session focuses on skill-sharing, creative practice and community building, offering actionable insights and inspiration for personal projects. Suitable for curious adults and beginners interested in practical arts and sustainable practices.

Saturday 25 April, 14:00

This day-long program explores urban agriculture through practical workshops, music, and community exchange. Activities examine seed-to-soil practices, collective gardening knowledge and hands-on skills: a Rueda music workshop highlighting Afro-Colombian coastal traditions, bike repair sessions for sustainable mobility, a guided species survey followed by cyanotype printing, an evening jazz manouche concert, and a shared banquet and bar offering pay-what-you-want contributions. The event investigates how collective practices strengthen food resilience and local biodiversity.

Saturday 25 April, 11:00

An open air celebration of Geneva’s independent breweries, where visitors stroll between tasting stalls and sample a variety of craft beers. The setting buzzes with friendly conversations, live animation and the tempting scents of small food stalls. Moving through the festival, you feel the communal rhythm of sampling and sharing, with a relaxed yet vibrant energy.
