Storytime with Noémi Michel

Join a playful reading of Les Vœux de Vany with author Noémi Michel. Children will follow Vany, a seven-year-old from Geneva, as she turns the city into a glittering playground filled with slides, talking statues, tasty treats and silly adventures. The session mixes lively storytelling, a friendly conversation with the author and a book signing. Bright imagery, movement and humour invite listeners to imagine and explore alongside the heroine.

Inspired by museum artworks, children and their adults will explore textures, colors, and gentle movements through play, stories, and simple crafts. Little ones will experiment with finger paints, fabrics, and instruments, discovering how art can feel and sound. This immersive, multisensory moment encourages curiosity, sensory play, and bonding between child and grown-up.

5 – 12 August

Explore the playful world of Édouard Manceau through lively storytime and a hands-on craft session. Children will listen to colourful picture books, enjoy animated readings led by librarians, and build a painted cardboard puppet to take home. The workshop encourages imagination, fine motor skills and creative play with bright shapes and textures. Sessions combine listening, drawing and simple cutting and assembly in a calm, friendly setting.

Wednesday 5 August, 09:30

Explore the tiny treasures pressed between paper and time. Discover early plant collections from 20 or 200 years ago and read the notes of a child botanist who kept a journal at four and a half. Together with a botanist and science communicator, examine shapes, colors and textures of preserved leaves, compare old and new specimens, and learn to notice details in nature. This discovery invites curiosity and a gentle hands-on attention to plants.

9 July – 13 August

Gather under shady trees for short, lively readings and quiet book browsing. Children listen to stories read aloud with expressive voices and gentle rhythms, see colorful scenes, and imagine characters moving and talking. Little ones can choose a single tale or stay for many, turning pages and whispering discoveries. The sounds of pages, birdsong, and soft laughter make reading feel like a calm outdoor adventure that sparks curiosity and language.
