The Conservatoire de Musique de Genève will host a chamber music series featuring the OSR’s interpretation of works by Shostakovich and Dohnányi for the 2025-26 season. Talented musicians Roman Filipov, Eleonora Ryndina, Marco Nirta, Yao Jin, and François-Xavier Poizat will perform. The program features Shostakovich’s String Quartet No. 8 in C minor, op. 110, a personal reflection of the Soviet composer utilizing his own musical signature DSCH, and Dohnányi’s Piano Quintet No. 1 in C minor, op. 1, a tribute to Brahms’ style.
Pop energy, raw intensity, a touch of animality, and playful shifts in force. With live music and dancers moving around the audience, the beat spreads—visceral and physical. La Tendresse du ventre de la baleine explores the tension between individuality and collectivity, between identity, intimate desires, and the need to belong.
