In March 1974, a slightly nervous Michel Berger played a song for France Gall—one he had written for himself but with her in mind. The Solistes de Beyrouth, a renowned vocal ensemble from Lebanon, will perform a gala concert at Geneva’s Victoria Hall to support Caritas Lebanon. Led by Fernando Afara, with mezzo-soprano Carine Séchaye and organist Yves Lafargue, the program will feature works by Poulenc, Bizet, Mascagni, Verdi, as well as Lebanese music.
