Recluses Fest #8: Cockney Rejects + BRKOVI + Survey Skins

Recluses Fest #8 is making a return to Geneva’s Alhambra, bringing together six bands that are sure to electrify the stage. The lineup includes legendary Cockney Rejects, the explosive punk rock and folklore fusion of BRKOVI, and the French urban rock project Survet Skins. Part of the ticket sales will be donated to Hardcore Hits Cancer to help children battling cancer. This is an engaged and compassionate musical event not to be missed!

“A Star is Borgne” is a wild, satirical comedy on the film industry. When the director absconds with the funds, aspiring actresses auditioning for parts agree to participate in a pseudo ‘making-of’ segment for a portion of the film, working both in front of and behind the camera. Under the direction of Sébastien Daucé, the ensemble Correspondances pays tribute to Notre Dame de Paris with works by Campra, Veillot, Lalouette, Cosset, and Robert. Specializing in 17th-century French music, the ensemble combines historical accuracy with contemporary emotion. Their work involves the revival of previously unheard compositions and grand reconstructions, such as the Coronation of Louis XIV. Since its founding in 2009, Correspondances has become a key reference point, performing both in France and internationally, and is in residence at the Théâtre de Caen.

In Geneva for 5 weeks, the Cirque du Soleil’s Kurios transforms the stage into a fantastical steampunk world where a curious inventor’s imagination takes flight. Daring acrobats, contortionists, and whimsical characters bring his chaotic cabinet of curiosities to life in a poetic, high-energy spectacle that celebrates wonder and possibility.

Dogora, composed by Étienne Perruchon, is a unifying musical work written in an imaginary language, Dogorien, transcending linguistic barriers. Caritas Genève has embraced this project as a symbol of overcoming communication challenges faced in its refugee housing programs. Under the direction of Martial Renard, the performance will bring together 300 artists, including choirs and soprano Claire Michel de Haas, with a mixed Caritas ensemble of hosts and refugees singing together in a shared language of music. Proceeds will support refugee housing and legal aid initiatives.

Sunday 1 June, 11:00

The Orchestre de la Suisse Romande will host a concert dedicated to Mozart at the Museum, promoting a charitable cause. A quintet of musicians will deliver a unique performance to raise funds for “suspended tickets,” enabling disadvantaged individuals to visit the Museum at no cost. A special brunch will be served by the HINIVUU café. The ticket includes access to both the concert and the Museum’s exhibitions.
