The film Simón de la Montaña, directed by Federico Luis, will premiere on Tuesday, May 6, with the director in attendance and preceded by his short film Cómo ser Pehuén Pedre (2024, 20 min).
The story follows 21-year-old Simón, who lives in Argentina and finds a new, unexpected group of friends that finally makes him feel truly himself. However, those around him grow concerned, feeling he’s changing too much—perhaps even trying to become someone else. The film won the Grand Prize at the 2024 Cannes Critics’ Week.
