Preview: Fires and Fascism – Peter Knapp

Booking Required

2026 is shaping up to be a grim, record-breaking year: increasingly devastating forest fires and the rise of the far-right in Europe and across the globe. Confronting these two interconnected threats, filmmaker Peter Knapp—using a sober and direct style—gives a voice to those on the front lines who are mobilizing to raise awareness and rally people against a deadly alliance between unscrupulous corporations and irresponsible political leaders.

The screening will be followed by a discussion featuring: Julia Steinberger, professor and researcher in ecological economics at the University of Lausanne and a lead author of the 6th IPCC Assessment Report, and Peter Knapp, air quality researcher and filmmaker.

In English with French subtitles.
