Lukas Bärfuss, a Bernese playwright, novelist and essayist, is one of the major voices of contemporary German-language literature. He presents his new novel Les Miettes, translated by Camille Lüscher (éditions Zoé). The talk examines Bärfuss’s ongoing exploration of poverty, tracing autobiographical threads from his earlier work Le Carton de mon père and situating the narrative within broader European twentieth-century history. The session offers close readings and discussion of themes, form and memory.

El Warcha, a multidisciplinary participatory design collective founded by Benjamin Perrot, champions collaborative, street-facing workshops that involve local residents in the creative process. The group produces temporary urban furniture, public installations and events that foreground practical education and civic engagement. For this week of open workshops, textile practice is central: participants will draw, draft patterns and sew together to co-create a large collective textile installation that will transform the space and explore community, materiality and shared craftsmanship.
Christophe Lyard, producer, publisher, label manager and artist active since 1985, brings decades of experience across underground scenes and the music industry.
He traces founding movements and the evolution of cultural scenes, examining the impact of technology on production and performance. The masterclass explores how electronic music transformed live events, audience experience and artistic creation, revealing connections between DIY origins and contemporary festival culture.
Photographer, architect and traveller Roland Meige presents a photographic series documenting the culture and vernacular architecture of Yemen before the destructive conflicts of the 2000s.
Through documentary images of urban settlements, towers and domestic structures, the works evoke traditional building techniques, resourceful adaptation to climate and the social fabric of communities. The project records fragile heritage at risk, asking what is lost when violence and internationalized warfare transform landscapes and erase material histories.
Impact Hub Geneva is hosting an evening to choose projects for its 2026 circular economy incubator. Project leaders will pitch their ideas for inclusion in the upcoming cohort.
