The Montreux Jazz Festival takes place for two weeks every summer in Switzerland, on the shores of Lake Geneva. Created in 1967 by Claude Nobs and directed by Mathieu Jaton since 2013, the Montreux Jazz Festival has become over the years an essential event, generating fantastic stories and legendary performances.

In its 50 years history, Montreux has hosted iconic performances by artists including Nina Simone, Miles Davis, Aretha Franklin, Ella Fitzgerald, Marvin Gaye, Prince, Leonard Cohen, David Bowie, Elton John and Stevie Wonder. Deep Purple and Prince even helped to write the legend of the place in their songs, while David Bowie and Freddie Mercury came to live in the region and record albums.

Enjoy a witty and heartfelt cabaret with Charlotte Filou and Antoine Courvoisier as they explore life’s everyday misdemeanors. Through a blend of songs and sketches, they deliver an hour of laughter and emotion, performing works by François Morel, Barbara, Boris Vian, Jacques Brel, and Higelin. This unique experience is packed with accusations, pleadings, testimonies, and fabrications, but most importantly, it’s brimming with life.

Saturday 5 July

Join the first OpenDinner by La Betsch, the Carouge supper club known for its zero-waste, 100% local feasts. For this special edition in the forest, 14 guests will gather around one table for a surprise tasting menu made entirely from Swiss, seasonal ingredients—sourced directly from ethical producers and crafted with care (everything’s homemade, even the soy sauce!). Gluten-free, waste-free, and full of stories, it’s more than a meal—it’s a radical celebration of terroir and transparency. Reservation required before 28 June.

17 May – 26 September

The Museum of the Undesirables, located in front of the central staircase at Geneva’s MAH, is hosting a series of workshops where participants will convert non-functional electrical devices into micro-gardens using local plants. This unconventional museum highlights the deterioration and “renaturalization” of objects, offering a one-of-a-kind creative experience.

2 – 5 July

Four captivating concerts await you at Stagni Park. On the first day, Ensemble Voyageur will enchant with a blend of European and Latin American melodies featuring a soprano and piano. The next day promises a deep dive into French music with performances by cellist Julia Sevilla Fraysse and pianist Anastasia Calmus. Following that, the United Strings of Europe will perform Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons paired with Piazzolla. The final day’s program by ClassiCosy includes works by Schubert and jazz pieces. Light refreshments will be available, and if it rains, the event moves indoors to the Jean-Jacques Gautier community hall.
