Mirella Jaworska – Good Mourning

Mirella Jaworska’s first solo exhibition presents paintings from 2026 that conjure the uncertain light of waking, when dream and reality blur. Drawing on early Renaissance masters and Japanese painting, Jaworska composes intimate tableaux populated by faces, flowers, skulls, cigarettes and studio objects, alongside recurring figures such as a jockey, a sphinx and a chair pierced by a heart. Her layered brushwork and muted palette explore memory, loss and melancholic reverie.

An exhibition presenting work by Garry Fabian Miller, Ptolemy Mann and Marit Tingleff, curated by Sarah Griffin. Across photography, weaving and ceramics, the show explores the darkroom, the dye lab and the kiln as sites of material transformation. The artists draw on deep embodied knowledge and long practice, using process, environment and material behaviour to shape outcomes. 23 September – 11 October

Swiss artist Andreas Kressig presents Station 505, a temporary sculpture-pavilion conceived as an architectural and sensory intervention. Built in relation to an existing fountain, the work paradoxically conceals and reveals water while offering both an exterior sculpture to contemplate and an interior space to inhabit. Through material presence and spatial thresholds it interrogates public versus private realms. The project is activated by shared moments with the artist centred on a communal tea service and reflections on its diverse cultural interpretations.

17 September – 7 November

Lilian Bourgeat creates hyperrealistic sculptures that magnify everyday objects into monumental forms. Meticulous attention to surface, material and colour transforms benches, rain boots and soda cans into seductive yet unsettling sculptures. By altering scale while preserving recognizable details, his pieces oscillate between functionality and absurdity, displacing the viewer and inviting fresh perceptions of ordinary gestures and urban routines. The work interrogates how familiar objects shape memory, use and the boundaries between the banal and the monumental.

Opening: Thursday 17 September, 18:00

3 – 25 October

An exhibition charting Chêne-Bougeries’s evolution from past to present, drawing on archival photographs, maps, and community memories. The display brings together historical documents, contemporary photography and mixed-media installations to explore urban development, landscape change and local identity. Through curated sequences and interpretive labels, the show considers how everyday life and collective memory shape place. The works use photography, archival material and site-responsive interventions to reveal layers of history embedded in the community.

Opening: Thursday 1 October, 18:30

Wednesday 7 October, 14:00

An outdoor project presenting works by various contemporary artists sited throughout a public garden. The exhibition stages a dialogue between art and landscape through sculptural and outdoor works that reveal changing relationships of scale, material and season. Using diverse materials and formats, the pieces question how context reshapes meaning, inviting close looking and unexpected encounters along pathways. The show considers the poetic and civic dimensions of placing art in nature, and the stories objects bring into shared outdoor spaces.

On the occasion of her first institutional solo exhibition in Geneva, Marisa Cornejo presents El Taller de la Fragilidad, bringing together new sculptures, drawings, and installations. Born in Chile and based in Switzerland, the artist draws on her experience of exile to explore the relationships between memory, displacement, absence, and repair. Several of the works have been created especially for Halle Nord, examining the forms of resilience that emerge from uprootedness. Recipient of the Fondation Francine Delacrétaz Prize (2023) and a Swiss Art Award (2024), Marisa Cornejo’s practice spans sculpture, drawing, installation, performance, and archival research.
