The ASL is marking its 45th anniversary with the immersive exhibition “LĂ©man, l’Ă©veil d’un peuple” (LĂ©man, the Awakening of a People). This exhibition chronicles the fierce battle to rescue Lake Geneva from suffocation between the 1960s and 2000, driven by the collective efforts of associations, scientists, fishermen, journalists, and institutions. The Biopark is temporarily hosting Janus, a unique two-headed Greek tortoise, during the renovation of the Museum. Each head of this male tortoise has its own independent brain, which sometimes makes its movements challenging. In captivity, Janus receives attentive care, resulting in an impressive lifespan of 26 years.

The Centre d’art contemporain, MEA, and Animatou are hosting a free session for children, titled “Our Animal Heroes.” Designed to accommodate non-French speakers, this session requires prior reservation. The program features five animated short films about animals—including a cat, tiger, lynx, fox, and elephant—with heartwarming and humorous encounters. While undergoing renovations, the Centre d’Art Contemporain Genève is organizing these off-site events in collaboration with the Fondation Convergences.

Join a creative workshop at the Cité Library to transform images into animated gifs. Participants will search for images online and learn how to use software to create gifs, a popular format for instant messaging.

Visite Ă  tout petits pas presents a monthly adventure in a magical setting full of surprises for young children. It’s the perfect opportunity for curious families eager for new discoveries.

What lies behind the sparkling snowflakes?

A rabbit postman, a royal pine tree, mysterious tracks in the snow… So many stories to dive into the magic of winter.  After listening to these seasonal tales, children will create animated greeting cards to send to loved ones—or to keep and decorate their homes.

The creative workshop, using everyday materials and treasures from nature, will be followed by a delicious snack.
