Together, they transform gospel into magnetic, danceable soul with powerful vocals and uplifting messages of unity. Under the baton of Francesco Grassini, the ensemble of fifty musicians will take you on a journey through a wide-ranging repertoire, blending classical music with modern rhythms. Prepare to be transported into a world of musical passion for an evening full of emotion.

The duo Echo del Tempo, consisting of cellist Joëlle Mauris and pianist Vincent Bossy, offers a sensory journey featuring captivating rhythms and vibrant contrasts. The performance will include an original composition by Vincent Bossy alongside works by Arvo Pärt, Philip Glass, Nadia Boulanger, Astor Piazzolla, Heitor Villa-Lobos, Lera Auerbach, Manuel de Falla, and Radiohead.

For its sixth edition, Ensemble Vortex and L’Abri-Genève invite you to explore the work of four emerging sound artists. Supported by Pro Helvetia, the Swiss Arts Council, and in partnership with Geneva’s Archipel Festival, these artists have collaborated for a year with Vortex members to develop diverse works, ranging from musical compositions to sound installations.

Ana Durán offers “bzz,” which utilizes string instruments and motors to delve into the relationship between humans and machines. Jorge Villoslada presents “CAPTCHA #2,” a piece that blends strings, bass clarinet, video, and electronics, challenging the distinction between human and machine. Aya Metwalli, with “Beauty in the Beast,” combines a string trio and voice to create a powerful and emotional evocation. Lastly, Zeynep Toraman presents “Long Lurking in the Clouds,” integrating a string trio, bass clarinet, and electronics.
