La cour des contes Festival

La Cour des Contes is a captivating oral literature festival that has enchanted the town of Plan-les-Ouates for nearly 30 years, becoming a key event in the French-speaking world. Blending ancient myths with modern issues, the festival offers a rich and diverse program.

While family-friendly tales delight young audiences, the teen/adult program invites reflection and exploration. Highlights include Philippe Imbert’s clever take on princess stereotypes, Jennifer Anderson’s journey through the polar night and Indigenous climate concerns, and Pascal Mitsuru Guéran’s dive into Japan’s mysterious voluntary disappearances in Les évaporés du Japon. With over 50 performances, there’s much more to discover.

Adrienne Barman and Blaise Hofmann offer a unique read-aloud event at the Bibliothèque des Pâquis.  Their work, “The Mysteries of Léman,” is a tribute to Lake Léman and the natural world, told through the story of Antoine. Following a storm, Antoine meets Brume, a young girl sailing her “Nautilette.” Together, they embark on a journey exploring the history of Lake Léman and its small islands, emphasizing nature’s restorative power.

23 April – 16 July

Join an evening drawing class at the museum led by artist Leyla Goormaghtigh. Explore the galleries and rediscover the permanent collections while benefiting from her guidance and exercises. This activity is open to adults and teens.

28 April – 25 May

Carac is UNIGE’s new cultural festival, showcasing a month of student creations that include theater, dance, concerts, film, arts and crafts workshops, games, and an exhibition. It’s a vibrant month-long celebration of artistic discovery and festivity, organized by university troupes and associations.

The residency project “Towards a Bioregional Assessment of Greater Geneva” by Hydromondes, Utopiana, and the Zoein Foundation, in collaboration with the Cantonal Water Office, invites you on a journey along the Arve River. This sketched walk is an opportunity to explore and appreciate Geneva’s river. The workshop will culminate in an exhibition of Hydromondes’ creations at the University of Geneva, in front of the Uni Dufour hall.
