La Bâtie Festival: Feldup / Moictani

Feldup, also known as Félix Dupuis, crafts music filled with haunting and electrifying atmospheres, with tracks that stretch over ten minutes. Drawing inspiration from the 2000s New York rock scene, he skillfully balances serene and intense moments, leveraging guitar intensity and dissonance. His dark, intimate lyrics convey past anguish, enhanced by a compelling and expressive voice. Opening the event, Hispano-Swiss artist Tania Praz with her Moictani project promises a passionate and dynamic performance.

Zizi Zozio is a performance by Marvin M’Toumo, an artist and designer trained in Nice and Geneva, that merges theater, fashion, and poetry. It reflects on his childhood in Guadeloupe and a dream of living among pelicans. Originating from the vibrant neighborhoods of Kingston, this cultural and political movement will be represented by Dynamic Legends, Happy Feet, Miss Rose, Shanky Equanoxx, and DJ Pappi. Through their music and dance, they will express joy, anger, and pride, turning the stage into a lively and unifying dance floor.

LovPoem explores the void left by lost love through a dance that intertwines tenderness and pain. Ludovico Paladini embodies this emptiness, navigating between nostalgic memories and abrupt sound interruptions, unveiling the complexity of heartache with a mix of emotion, kitsch, and irony.

Vicente Lesser Gutierrez presents KA’WIN, an evolving urban object showcased as part of the FMAC’s “Art in Public Spaces” competition. KA’WIN is an interactive installation centered around a circular bench, placed in various locations throughout Geneva and brought to life through performances and soundtracks.

La Bâtie-Festival de Genève is a multidisciplinary festival in the Geneva region, featuring a vibrant mix of music, dance, theater, and performances over 18 days. Spanning more than forty venues, it offers around fifty events showcasing both national and international artists. The festival invites audiences to explore current cultural trends and engage with diverse artistic perspectives.

Drawing from her experience in the funeral industry, Aurélia Lüscher presents a documentary art installation that questions Western funeral rituals, our relationship with decomposition and nature, and the commercialization of death. This thoughtful and humor-infused approach delves into our connection with life and death.
