Led by accordionist Camille Tissot, Inscape offers an immersion in modern jazz shaped by diverse influences from Bobby McFerrin to Alt-J and Paname Panic. Tissot’s original compositions bring the accordion to the foreground, blending electric textures and delicate timbres. Joined by Solal Laval (drums), Ethan Borlet-Hote (bass) and Léonard Probst (keyboards), the quartet crafts an intimate, richly textured sound world that moves between forceful momentum and fragile lyricism.
Directed by Rémi Dufay, D’amour et d’eau fraîche is a stage adventure that celebrates movement, friendship and the unforeseen. Rémi Dufay and his ensemble probe margins and fragile frames, staging situations that slip away in a deliberately unsteady ceremony. Now in its eleventh edition, Fête de l’Olivier stages dialogues between Arab and Mediterranean musical traditions and contemporary creation. The program gathers voices and instrumentalists such as Yasmine Hamdan, Trio Joubran and Retsina Cola, weaving intimate and powerful moments. Artists alternate between rooted repertoires and experimental approaches, inviting attentive listening and emotional resonance. The festival highlights improvisation, lyrical storytelling and cross-cultural collaboration.
Veteran noise outfit Ramleh deliver an electric, rock-tinged set led by Gary Mundy on guitar, Stuart Dennison on drums, Anthony Di Franco on electric bass and Kevin Laska on synth. Their charged, abrasive sound blends distorted guitar, dense percussion and swirling electronics into a confrontational live experience. The evening continues with record selections by La Poya and Fuxy Lady, extending the event’s raw, underground energy.
Directed by Françoise Courvoisier, this production of Anton Chekhov’s Oncle Vania — translated by Arthur Adamov — assembles a committed ensemble (Vincent Bonillo, Pierre Dubey, Bérangère Mastrangelo, Patricia Mollet-Mercier, Clarisse Morizot, Pierre Omer, Juliana Samarine, Edmond Vuilloud) to explore love, the passage of time and illusions lost. Coraline Parmentier presents Kitab al Kanuz, a film-concert blending piano, electronic timbres and Middle Eastern soundscapes. The pianist-composer performs on a Yamaha C7 and a Turkish-style keyboard (Yamaha PSR-5000), exploring quarter-tones and textures drawn from her albums Kitab al Kanuz and Aswat Bahr al Mayyit. Collaborator Bager Sen contributes mantra compositions and aksak rhythms, rooted in ancestral meters. Scène Vagabonde’s seventh edition brings a compact program of contemporary theatre and music, presenting three contrasting stage works — “Par le bout du nez”, “Quadrille” and “Prima facie” — alongside a concert by Orchestre Tout Puissant Marcel Duchamp as part of La Bâtie-Festival de Genève.
