Carac Festival is the University of Geneva’s month-long student cultural festival, bringing together dozens of student troupes and associations to share creations and experiences. Families discover nature games, collaborative art projects, and playful performances that spark curiosity and creativity.

Jump into a neighborhood full of music, games and hands-on fun. DJs, live bands and colorful parades create lively sounds while workshops invite you to build huts, trade toys at a children’s flea market, and try sonic hammocks and quiet siestas. Move, listen and make — discover rhythms, bright colors and playful surprises around every corner. Evenings bring imaginative performances and mapping shows that light up walls, creating dreamlike scenes to explore with friends.

18 April and 16 May

This workshop honours the Argentine writer Jorge Luis Borges through tango practice, combining cultural reflection with embodied learning. Participants explore tango as an improvised dance that develops concentration, body awareness, listening, and spatial perception. The session includes a beginners’ technique class followed by open practice, emphasizing connection, nonverbal communication, and improvisational decision-making. It examines how movement-based practice can foster creativity, attention and personal growth while engaging with Borges’s literary legacy.

22 – 24 May

Mai au Parc brings the community together for a lively three-day outdoor festival featuring fifteen concerts (including nine Swiss acts), family-friendly activities, and a wide selection of food stalls. Enjoy moments at the wine bar and explore a culinary world tour served on ten small plates. Activities and community-run stands invite everyone to participate; volunteers are welcome to join. The festival celebrates local music, conviviality and shared neighbourhood spirit.
