The LGBTIQ+ film festival Everybody’s Perfect returns for its 12th edition at the Maison des Arts du Grütli in Geneva. Since its inception in 2010, it has celebrated LGBTIQ+ expressions from around the globe. In October, the festival offers ten days filled with film screenings, discussions, and meetings with local and international experts and partners. Beyond films, it features performances, exhibitions, workshops, music, and festive gatherings. Notable highlights include the appearance of Dag Johan Haugerud and the screening of “LLUEVE SOBRE BABEL.”
The Ciné-Club Universitaire, a long-standing institution at UNIGE founded in 1951, launches its Autumn 2025 cycle dedicated to Dance in Cinema. This eclectic program moves beyond musicals to include drama, psychological thrillers, and documentaries, offering reflections on the body, identity, and artistic expression on screen. Open to all, each session invites viewers to experience dance as both a transformative force and a narrative tool.

Marie Losier is showcasing two unique films, “Felix in Wonderland” and “Barking in the Dark,” at the Cinémas du Grütli. These works blend portrait, experimental music, and visual poetry. As a filmmaker and visual artist, Losier captures these pieces on 16 mm film and crafts her own soundtracks, bringing the enchantment of music to the big screen. The screening will be followed by a discussion with the filmmaker and her producer, Mathilde Delaunay.
In partnership with the Festival cinémas d’Afrique Lausanne, the MEG is hosting a film series for all ages as part of the temporary exhibition “Afrosonica – Soundscapes.” Some of these films, co-developed with FCAL, delve into the exhibition’s themes. Among them, Hind Meddeb’s “Sudan Remember Us” captures a pivotal moment in the fight for freedom during the 2019 coup in Sudan, highlighting the determination of young Sudanese activists to overthrow the dictatorship.
The 31st edition of the Geneva International Film Festival (GIFF) showcases films, series, and immersive experiences, emphasizing audiovisual innovation. Highlights include a special session with Swiss producer Nathalie Nath, a tribute to Quebec filmmaker Jean-Marc Vallée, and two major interactive experiences. Attracting 35,000 attendees each year across ten days, the event is renowned for its pioneering and inventive approach. Nathalie Nath, a visionary television figure, will be the guest of honor for the “Tales of Swiss Innovation.”
Experience the haunting masterpiece Nosferatu with a live piano accompaniment by Thomas Delclaud from the Conservatoire de Musique de Genève. This silent German classic (1922) comes alive as Delclaud’s evocative music brings the eerie tale of Thomas Hutter and the sinister Count Orlok to life at Cinéma BIO, Carouge. A unique cinematic and musical journey not to be missed.
