In collaboration with Classeek, the Septembre Musical welcomes two extraordinary young musicians, both alumni of the Classeek Ambassador Programme: flutist Rafael Adobas Bayog and pianist Giorgi Gigashvili. Together, they present an intimate recital blending French classics, Spanish songs, and works from their Filipino and Georgian heritage. From Poulenc and Prokofiev to San Pedro, Santiago, Kancheli, and more, each piece becomes a story carried by the breath of two promising young artists.

Get ready for an electrifying evening, with the progressive rock sounds of Meatbodies and the post-punk energy of Snapped Ankles. Snapped Ankles, known for their hypnotic electro-rock and captivating performances, promise an intense and immersive experience. Meatbodies will showcase their ambitious album “Flora Ocean Tiger Bloom,” noted for its diverse influences and strong musical craftsmanship. Pling-Klang is an engaging performance featuring Mathieu Despoisse and Étienne Manceau, two circus artists and friends, assembling a shelf while playfully dismantling the usual narratives of romance. Through this shared activity, they humorously and tenderly delve into conversations and musings about love, offering a unique and delightful reflection to enjoy on your own or with others.

28 August – 14 September

La Bâtie-Festival de Genève is a multidisciplinary festival in the Geneva region, featuring a vibrant mix of music, dance, theater, and performances over 18 days. Spanning more than forty venues, it offers around fifty events showcasing both national and international artists. The festival invites audiences to explore current cultural trends and engage with diverse artistic perspectives.

9 – 21 September

Under the glow of a streetlamp, two students await an interview with Grisélidis Réal, set as part of their final studies. In a Beckett-inspired setting, they encounter sex workers, challenging their preconceptions. The play “Contre-jour” delves into the validity of discourses between theory and lived experience, commitment, and expression. Created by Mathi and Margot Le Coultre, this debut from Cie « La Poudre à lever » delves into the topic of prostitution, drawing inspiration from Grisélidis Réal.

4 – 14 September

The Adventures of Baron Münchausen take audiences into a fantastical world of absurdity, humour, music, and poetry. Loosely inspired by the work of Godfried August Bürger, this creation by Dorian Giauque and Mathieu Fernandez-V. explores, between myth and reality, the outrageous exploits of this popular German literary hero, where the line between boasting and truth blurs beneath a legendary moustache.

10 – 13 September

Zizi Zozio is a performance by Marvin M’Toumo, an artist and designer trained in Nice and Geneva, that merges theater, fashion, and poetry. It reflects on his childhood in Guadeloupe and a dream of living among pelicans. The performer embodies a bird adorned with feathers, addressing themes of violence, sexuality, memory, and survival through a blend of storytelling, breath, cries, and song. Through this hybrid character, he authentically explores issues of gender and race, using art as a space for questioning and reconciliation.

Ages 18 and up.
