The residency project “Towards a Bioregional Assessment of Greater Geneva” by Hydromondes, Utopiana, and the Zoein Foundation, in collaboration with the Cantonal Water Office, invites you on a journey along the Arve River. This sketched walk is an opportunity to explore and appreciate Geneva’s river. The workshop will culminate in an exhibition of Hydromondes’ creations at the University of Geneva, in front of the Uni Dufour hall.
The MEG is hosting Kathy Jetñil-Kijiner for a screening of three short films followed by a discussion with the artist-activist and Ambassador Doreen de Brum. Hailing from the Marshall Islands, Kathy is renowned for her United Nations presentations and performances addressing climate issues and the impact of nuclear testing in the region. In collaboration with the Caux Foundation Initiatives and Change, the event features films “Beached,” “Anointed,” and “Rise,” with a discussion moderated by Roberta Colombo Dougoud.

Every Sunday, meet at 9:45 AM at the end of bus line 8 in Veyrier-Douane for 5 to 8-hour hikes organized by the Association Genevoise des Amis du Salève (AGAS). No prior registration needed. This seminar explores how global patterns of militarism, economic austerity, and moral repression operate in sync, forming a deliberate and strategic system of violence that disproportionately targets feminist and queer movements. As states and corporations deepen repression and extraction, gender and sexual panics often flare in tandem, raising urgent questions about how the language of protection and security conceals broader structures of domination. Bringing together activists and scholars, the event opens space for critical reflection and marks the beginning of a wider conversation to continue in the fall.
