Escalade night

This exhibition presents a selection of illustrations created by painter Édouard Elzingre for two landmark publications by Pastor Alexandre Guillot, La Nuit de l’Escalade and Le Siècle de la Réforme. Through vivid historical imagery, the works revisit the dramatic events of 1602 and the formation of Geneva’s civic identity. Blending narrative detail with patriotic resonance, the drawings illuminate how memory, legend, and visual storytelling helped shape a lasting communal tradition.

Bre Andy presents a new series of paintings in her first solo exhibition at the gallery. Drawing on photographs of her surroundings and her journal, she depicts intimate scenes of women and friends in domestic interiors and natural settings. The works consider inner and outer presence, the body, memory, and the ways space shapes visibility and expression. Through these personal images, Andy explores how lived environments inform relationships and self-presentation.

5 November – 12 December

This exhibition brings together the works of Jean-Louis Perrot and Natacha Mercier in a dialogue shaped by thresholds, suspension, and the vital force of renewal. Perrot explores the edge of movement, the instant of balance, and the regenerative energy at work in form. In his series De profundis, Mercier examines the appearance and withdrawal of the image, where night becomes a habitat that absorbs and redistributes light, and vision shifts into a space of opacity. Presentation text by Jonas Alvear, 2026.

Opening: (AVV) Thursday 5 November, 17:00, with artists.

27 October – 19 November

Artist Carmen-Sibha Keiso presents a continuation of her exhibition, featuring new works that explore ambivalence and the bystander’s gaze. The show includes sculptural and installation pieces alongside printed editions by Fabrice Gygi, Roman Signer and Marie Sacconi. A recently published volume by Keiso accompanies the presentation, extending the exhibition’s themes into a printed, multi-voiced format. The installation work favours material contrasts and subtle gestures that probe perception, memory and relational dynamics.

Opening: Friday 23 October, 18:00

28 October – 13 January

WANDER / WONDER invites you to see the world through a photographer’s eyes. Captured in Japan, Marrakech, China, Hong Kong, Croatia and Egypt, these images explore cultural contrasts, the beauty of places, the emotions they evoke, and the little details that spark our curiosity and inspire us to discover the world.

Opening: Wednesday, 28 October, 18:30.

30 October – 6 December

Presented by the Interfaith Platform of Geneva, this exhibition traces ten major rivers across the world through geography, beliefs, traditions, biodiversity, and natural resources. Rather than a purely documentary survey, it reveals rivers as living environments where cultural memory, ecological interdependence, and spiritual meaning converge. The exhibition invites viewers to reflect on the beauty and fragility of these ecosystems, and on the many ways human communities have understood and inhabited river landscapes.

17 September – 13 December

Curators Ghalas Charara and Rita Elhajj present the second part of a two‑part exhibition that shapes a liminal space between listening and gesture. Through acts of defunctionalization, duplication, displacement, fragmentation and sabotage, the participating artists generate potentials for action and reclaim rhythmic breaths, steps and voices. Works from the host collection sit alongside invited pieces to evoke survivance, mourning and resistance, where memory becomes an embrace enacted by bodies searching for—sometimes finding—ancestral gestures through repetition, dance and semantic shifts.

Opening: Thursday 17 September, 18:00
