To mark its 35th anniversary, Reporters Without Borders Switzerland is hosting the exhibition “Photographing the World of Tomorrow” at Uni Dufour. Featuring over three hundred ceramic and glass buttons, the exhibition interacts with the museum’s works to highlight their role in both formal experimentation and socio-cultural narratives. The exhibition’s architecture evokes the commercial arcades of the 19th century, a pivotal era for button industrialization. Curated by Claire FitzGerald, the exhibition is supported by the Swiss Fashion Museum and showcases never-before-seen pieces from several prestigious collections.

6 November – 20 December

Embark on a poetic and visual journey through a century of photography, spotlighting both celebrated masters and lesser-known photographers. The gallery showcases works by iconic figures such as Man Ray, Robert Doisneau, František Drtikol, Pierre Boucher, and Fred Boissonnas, alongside images from forgotten artists. From street scenes and surreal experiments to poetic compositions, the exhibition is a confluence of diverse styles that enhance and enrich one another.

Opening during the Art en Vieille-Ville collective vernissage on Thursday, November 6, from 16:00 to 21:00.

13 November – 27 December

Join the opening of Mammoth steps. One for Kevin, two for Lisa by Chris Lovasoa Kauffmann, co-produced with the Swiss Cultural Center in Paris and Béa Foundation for Young Artists. Two additional exhibitions, L’Argent Comme Seul Lien by Manuela Morales Délano and CORRENTES by Nina Wolf, will also debut at Les Halles de l’Ile. The main exhibition will be available from Tuesday to Saturday, with display windows accessible at all times. Don’t miss the guided tour and performance by Thilda Bourqui featuring Kairaan Kika.

14 November – 17 December

Swiss artist Pierre Schwerzmann (b. 1947, Aubonne) creates paintings that captivate through the vibrating interplay of color and surface. His smooth, seemingly stable canvases generate both fascination and unease, drawing and deflecting the viewer’s gaze in continuous motion. For Schwerzmann, painting is an act of thought in movement — a physical and mental experience that engages both body and mind.

Apocalypses. What Did You See in Hiroshima? is a powerful exhibition curated by Nicolas Crispini, exploring the devastation and legacy of the atomic bombings through testimonies, photographs, films, objects, and soundscapes. From survivor accounts to cultural echoes and traces of nuclear tests, it confronts the enduring threat of nuclear apocalypse and asks whether humanity has truly grasped the magnitude of Hiroshima.

Guided tours organsied every Sunday, 11:00 & 13:00.
