Choses que l’on garde

The exhibition Choses que l’on garde (“Things we keep”) showcases works from the City of Lancy’s art collection in conversation with elements from Jérémie Gindre’s work, forming fresh ideas and connections. The pieces, which include paintings, drawings, photographs, objects, and sculptures, are organized into themed sections within Villa Bernasconi. In conjunction, Anaïs Wenger offers walking tours that juxtapose Lancy landscape paintings with their contemporary surroundings.

Apocalypses. What Did You See in Hiroshima? is a powerful exhibition curated by Nicolas Crispini, exploring the devastation and legacy of the atomic bombings through testimonies, photographs, films, objects, and soundscapes. From survivor accounts to cultural echoes and traces of nuclear tests, it confronts the enduring threat of nuclear apocalypse and asks whether humanity has truly grasped the magnitude of Hiroshima.

António Vasconcelos Lapa invites you into a fantastical realm where dreams blend with reality, a world brimming with lush vegetation, vibrant fruits, and peculiar creatures reminiscent of fairy tales. His works uniquely allow for touch, providing an immersive and unparalleled experience.

The Musée de Carouge showcases the city’s century-long relationship with cinema, highlighting iconic locations, pioneering figures like Alice Guy, local film productions, and the enduring Cinéma Bio, offering a vivid look at how Carouge has shaped and been shaped by the seventh art.

The exhibition is complemented by a diverse program of screenings, concerts, and workshops, allowing visitors to experience iconic films, explore Alice Guy’s world through music, and experiment with early animation techniques for a fully immersive journey into Carouge’s cinematic history and practice.

The stained glass collections of the Musée Ariana are coming out of storage! When the museum was bequeathed to the City of Geneva in 1890, Gustave Revilliod had acquired 118 stained glass pieces. Today, the museum boasts over 400 pieces, spanning from the 12th to the 21st century. The fifth installment of the “The Ariana Unveils Its Reserves” series showcases an exceptional selection of this heritage.
