Soloists Alice Julien-Laferrière and Minori Deguchi (violins), Bettina Ruchti and Mathurin Bouny (violas), Carles Dorador (theorbo), Cecilia Knudtsen (viola da gamba) and Hadrien Jourdan (organ and harpsichord) shape luminous timbres and rich continuo, revealing a music of contrast, colour and movement.

Ensemble Temenos presents a programme devoted to Johann Rosenmüller, featuring Alice Julien-Laferrière, Minori Deguchi, Bettina Ruchti, Mathurin Bouny, Carles Dorador, Cecilia Knudtsen and Hadrien Jourdan. The programme, titled “L’Allemagne à la lumière de Venise”, explores Rosenmüller’s sonate da camera and sinfonie, tracing the dialogue between German traditions and Italianate influences. The performance favours intimate textures, vivid contrasts and a refined baroque sensibility that highlights melodic lyricism and ensemble interplay.

Two short plays by Anton Chekhov staged by Tibor Ockenfels and Flavie Tapparel, presented as compact dramatic machines where romantic comedy masks escalating confrontations between desire, affection and material interest. Performances rely on precise physical timing, terse exchanges and a lean, playful design to reveal the simmering violence behind courtship rituals. The three actors — Estelle Bridet, Matteo Prandi and Raphaël Vachoux — inhabit heightened character types that shift between farce and darker comic truth, creating a sharply observed, kinetic evening.

Prima Facie, by Suzie Miller, stages a tense courtroom drama centred on Tessa, a brilliant defence lawyer whose life is upended after she becomes the victim of an assault. Directed by Elidan Arzoni and performed by Anna Budde, the production weaves urgent questions about justice, credibility and power. Danielle Milovic’s lighting and the French translation by Dominique Hollier and Séverine Magois shape a stark, intimate staging. Produced by Les Amis – Le Chariot for Scène Vagabonde Festival.
