Celebration of World Environment Day

World Environment Day 2025 centers on combating plastic pollution. In Geneva, the event is hosted at the International Environment House II, beginning with a breakfast hosted by the sponsor country, followed by a forum and high-level dialogue showcasing how Geneva advances this cause. As a hub for environmental and health governance, the city plays a pivotal role in multilateral efforts to eradicate plastic pollution. The emphasis will be on multilateral initiatives and the diverse stakeholders involved, aiming to encourage innovation, heighten ambitions, and support the development of an international treaty on plastic pollution.
