Whitney reworks Chicago soul into luminous melodies and warm vocals, transforming that heritage into a modern, timeless indie sound. Formed in Chicago by Max Kakacek and Julien Ehrlich after the breakup of Smith Westerns, the duo earned acclaim with Light Upon the Lake and explored pop and contemporary R&B textures on Spark. Their album Small Talk pares back arrangements to a more intimate, contemplative register, highlighting fragile harmonies and a tender, autumnal atmosphere.
Raul Midón is a virtuosic guitarist and singer whose golden voice blends jazz, soul and folk into an intimate, rhythmic sound world. Blind from birth, the New Mexico–born artist transformed his difference into a singular creative force. Trained at the University of Miami, he has collaborated with Herbie Hancock, Stevie Wonder and Bill Withers, and performed on stages from New York to Montreux. Alone on stage, Midón combines percussive guitar, supple vocal phrasing and his astonishing “mouth‑trumpet” to create moments of pure emotion and groove.
Part of the Festival Voix de Fête, this concert pairs Juliette Magnevasoa and the Geneva duo Beth & Patricia in an intimate evening of voice-led folk and acoustic textures. Juliette blends Malagasy roots with other influences, shaping a sensitive, living songwriting voice. Beth & Patricia mix guitar and cavaquinho, drawing on memories of Praia to turn nostalgia into tenderness on stage. The programme favours close listening and warm, immediate musical storytelling.
Celebrating ten years on stage, Leïla Huissoud presents a new duo show that weaves reinterpretations of the French chanson she grew up with and her own original songs. Her expressive voice inhabits familiar covers, answering them with intimate compositions that react, converse and link eras. Sparse instrumentation and attentive dynamics foreground storytelling and timbre, offering a dialogue between past and present. Presented as part of a 25th‑anniversary celebration.
