Galerie Sonia Zannettacci is a contemporary art gallery located in Geneva’s Old Town. Founded in 1980, it presents a curated program focused on key 20th-century European art movements, including Surrealism, Nouveau Réalisme, and Narrative Figuration. The gallery also represents both contemporary and historical artists across painting, sculpture, and photography, playing an important role in promoting and showcasing these movements in Geneva.
Le Nouveau Réalisme brings together works by Arman, César, Christo, François Dufrêne, Yves Klein, Niki de Saint Phalle, Mimmo Rotella, Daniel Spoerri, Jean Tinguely and Jacques Villeglé to examine the movement’s poetic reworking of urban detritus. The exhibition presents sculptures, assemblages, collages and interventions that displace found objects from everyday contexts, juxtaposing industrial materials, advertising fragments and ready‑mades. Through material play and détournement, the show explores urban consumption, collective memory and the politics of visibility.
