Inauguration of Eukaryote, a new public artwork at the Pâquis-Centre school
Over the past few months, a new sculpture has been taking shape behind the barriers and tarpaulins covering the school’s central courtyard. It has now finally been unveiled.
Created by artist Simone Holliger, in collaboration with Ester Alemayehu Hatle, this artwork is the result of an invitational competition organized by the FMAC (Geneva Municipal Foundation for Contemporary Art), the Children’s Services, and the City of Geneva’s Department of Built Heritage, with the participation of representatives from the school, local residents, and neighborhood associations.
