A special event day focused on the Praille Acacias Vernets (PAV) project, organized by the six institutes of HES-SO Genève, features an exhibition, tours, debates, and a collaborative writing workshop. This ambitious project aims to transform Geneva by creating new neighborhoods, redesigning public spaces, and reopening the Drize River. The event showcases student work and insights on these significant urban changes, fostering dialogue and understanding of the city’s evolution. This program is coordinated by CITÉ in partnership with the PAV project leaders and the City of Carouge.
Join two guided sound walks led by the esteemed acoustician, Dimitri Magnin. Immerse yourself in the city’s urban soundscapes, moving away from technology and engaging in a focused auditory exploration of the city’s sonic landscapes. Over the course of 90 minutes, participants will delve into the diverse array of acoustic information, gaining insights into urban acoustic quality and the challenges of noise management. This activity is open to everyone, come rain or shine; comfortable shoes are recommended, and children are welcome when accompanied by a guardian.
