Bibliothèque de Cologny is the municipal public library serving the Cologny community. It houses over 3,000 French-language volumes and offers lending services, curated collections and regular cultural activities for adults and children. The library functions as a local meeting place, supporting reading, learning and community programming within a village-scale cultural network.
Julie Moulin, author of Jupe et Pantalon and Domovoï and finalist for the Goncourt de la Nouvelle with L’insulation, explores intimate tensions and family ties. She moved to Singapore in 2020; the exchange is mediated by Typhaine Marc.
The session examines L’insulation’s portrayal of Singapore’s urban textures, colonial echoes and shifting identities, exploring narrative voice, the short story form and themes of belonging and displacement. Discussion reveals how place and memory shape contemporary fiction.
